M401 E-Cigarette Review

The M401 was the first model of e-cigarette that I ever purchased, and it served as my introduction to vaping and e-cigarettes in general. I purchased my first M401 about a year ago and bought 3 batteries, 3 atomizers, and a USB charger.

After receiving my M401 parts, I started charging the battery. Generally e-cigarette baterries takes about 3 hours to fully charge, so I left mine plugged in. I believe most e-cigarettes ship pre-charged, but since mine had been in the mail for a week, I figured I would charge it again just to be safe. Once I had my M401 battery charged, I put on a cartridge and began “smoking”. The M401 produces quite a lot of vapor if you have a good atomizer. However, I found that dripping e-liquid on to the M401 was an easy mod to do and since I began dripping I have been getting much better vapor clouds and throat hits.

One thing I really like about the M401 is how similar it is to a real cigarette in terms of looks. I enjoy the physical sensation of smoking, so having something that resembles a cigarette made the transition from smoking analog cigarettes to e-cigs that much easier. My M401 has excellent battery life, and it usually lasts for about a day of heavy vaping.

Despite being a great electronic cigarette, I do have a few complaints. Firstly, my first two batteries and atomizers ended stopped working about a month after I got them. The third battery and atomizer combination however has been going strong for about 6 months now without an issue. On the upside, e-cigarette replacement parts are about 10 times cheaper (for the battery or atomizer) than the cost of a carton of cigarettes here, and when you get a solid atomizer and battery, they can last for quite some time. My second complaint is that you will need to constantly refill the M401 with e-liquid. With mine, I can get about 10-15 good puffs using the drip method, and about 25 using a cartridge, which isn’t as long lasting as some of the other e-cigm models out there.
